I started as an absolute SEO novice in January 2009. But right away, I realised that DigiOutsource gives opportunities to people with the right attitude and who value on-the-job learning. Today I look after a team of Digital Marketers and the leadership coaching I receive is remarkable. The work we do in the Offsite team and as part of the greater Digital Marketing team is focused on maximising our search engine ranking positions and increasing organic search engine traffic. In order to achieve this, we have cultivated strong in-house resources, but also work with international Agency Partners and consult leading Search Engine Marketing specialists. I have also been sent to world class conferences in the United States and United Kingdom, which have allowed me to develop in both a personal and professional capacity.
When I started here as a host, I was told that if you work hard enough and show ambition you will experience growth within the company. I stuck to those words and have never felt it untrue. In fact, quite the opposite. I have since held the position of Sports In-play Marketer, Off-Site Marketer and the position I hold today; an SEO proofreader in the Digital Marketing department. The proofreaders do more than just read content. We’re also responsible for getting English content translated into the countless other languages that our websites are available in, plus we need to ensure that once we’ve given the content the green light that it is uploaded and aesthetically pleasing. The end of a day’s work for a trusty SEO proofreader should result in the client being able to navigate and consume content to their heart’s content. I’m proud to say that I am a part of this process, especially given that the brands we work on are world leaders in their respective industries. Not many will ever have the chance to work in a place, which has amassed such a diverse array of individuals.
