During my career at DigiOutsource, I have been involved in the set-up of the Risk department, contributed to the build of risk engines, managed a team of data analysts and fraud investigators, as well as designed, managed and maintained insightful risk reports for top management. Within my current role, I am able to discover trends hidden within data and provide management with insightful reports and recommendations to mitigate any risk to the business and ensure that the department is operating optimally. DigiOutsource is a dynamic, fast-paced, trend-setting, ever-changing, cutting-edge business. One can never get too comfortable in a position as the business evolves at a tremendous rate. Systems and processors are constantly being tested and analysed to ensure that we are providing the best service we possibly can, not only to our external clients, but our internal ones as well. This is what I love most about DigiOutsource, and is what keeps me ticking and excited to enter this building daily. The growth opportunities within this business are second to none – new positions are always coming up. When I joined DigiOutsource, I was 1 of only 3 people in the entire Risk & Fraud department, servicing 1 client. Today, we are sitting with almost 200 staff members, who provide services for multiple clients. The systems and tools which we now have at our fingertips have completely changed the game and improved our ability to offer a top class service to our clients. It’s a privilege to be part of the success of DigiOutsource and I look forward to the future.
During my time at DigiOutsource, the evolution of my career and personal growth has been amazing. I have enjoyed role changes that have provided me with continuous development in the areas of people management, team dynamics and operations management within the Risk & Fraud space. Plus, the skills and knowledge I have developed as a result, have equipped me to explore my skill set across various disciplines should I wish to. While my Degree in Information Systems has always steered me towards operations and systems management, I have had the opportunity to focus on both the leadership as well as operations management aspects with equal satisfaction. In my current role, I have had the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced and knowledgeable professionals, which enables me to gain the insights of my peers in disciplines different to mine. This visibility and engagement is not only possible on a particular level of management, but throughout the business and across the various divisions. In the technology space, this culture of dynamism allows us flexibility in our approach to system development, with the result being bespoke solutions that contribute towards the ongoing success of DigiOutsource. This collaborative and transparent culture is what gives us the edge over our competitors, as it invites opinion and ideas from across the business, which talks directly to its talent management strategy. It is this strategy that has helped my career progression, and I don’t feel that I would have enjoyed as much development and personal growth elsewhere, in such a short space of time!
