In my first 2 years at DigiOutsource, I worked as a brand marketer for the Japanese market. Now I’m working as a Japanese Translator. Translation in this company is one of the most important roles. We convert all English content into different languages and make sure it’s regionalised. It’s not just about translating words, it’s also about understanding the culture and unique manners inherent in a particular language. All of us in the Translations department are specialised for each language, as well as the cultural backgrounds of the countries involved. We work well together, as each of us understands what it’s like to be working away from our home countries. We also know what the challenges are with targeting international markets. As for DigiOutsource, I love working here, because the company is diverse and multi-cultural, as well as incredibly supportive!
This is probably the friendliest and definitely the most international team I’ve ever worked with. I have colleagues from places as far apart as Norway, Argentina and Japan. Being the language experts in the company, we provide services to many different departments. We work with a lot of attention to detail, as our task is not only to translate, but also to seamlessly adapt copy and content into our languages and cultures. This requires profound language skills and some creativity. At DigiOutsource I find it easy to focus on my work. The company takes good care of its employees and it is incredibly well organised. When I run/commute to work, there’s a hot shower waiting for me at the company gym, while at lunch I get to build my own salad in the cafeteria, free of charge. The best thing about this job however, are the people. With so many nations in one team, you always have an opportunity to learn and laugh.
