Gavin’s 20-year journey at DigiOutsource has been marked by necessary lessons, great teamwork, and shared success. Read more about what he’s learned as our Head of Risk and Fraud. 
 

What brought you to Digi 20 years ago?
My passion for the detection of cybercrime and balancing the scales allowed me the opportunity to join the group and utilize my skillset within the online gambling industry.

What are some highlights of your journey at DigiOutsource so far?
There have been many highlights over the years from company acquisitions and mergers to regulatory market entries. However, the biggest one was the NYSE listing of the group, a momentous occasion for everyone and a very proud moment for the group.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your 20 years here?
That’s an easy one. Just when you think you are at the point of understanding all aspects of the business, you realise that you are nowhere close to that. The blessing of this is that it drives you to do more, and you shift into gears that you never knew you had.

The other lesson, stemming from this one, is that you must accept you will never know it all, and that there are other experts in the company who you can obtain knowledge from. Working with the people around you, ensures great teamwork and faster results.

What are you most proud of achieving during your time at Digi?
I am most proud of watching colleagues whom I have been able to assist, grow and take up high level positions within the company. It’s amazing to see them doing well and to know that I have played a small part in their success.

Tell us why, 20 years later, you are still working at Digi.
That’s another easy one. I love what I do, and I love the people I work with. Digi is full of amazing people. The company is continuously growing and reinventing itself, and I feel so fortunate that I am along for the ride. It’s been an amazing 20 years with the group, and I have enjoyed every moment. Digi is a vibrant company that challenges you every step of the way and never lets you rest on your laurels. This company creates and provides many opportunities for all, and how far you move up that ladder is totally up to you.
