Self-Proclaimed Digi Dinosaur, Megan reflects on two successful decades of growth and collaboration

What brought you to DigiOutsource 20 years ago?

I had resigned and was planning to work in the UK on a 2-year visa. Whilst waiting for my visa approval I joined Digi (then called Forwardslash) on a contract. I recall the headcount being around 50 employees back then. After a few weeks they offered me a permanent role and I loved the company so much, that I changed my plans and decided to stay … and the rest as they say is history.

What are some highlights from your journey at DigiOutsource so far?

There are too many to mention them all, but a few include:

  • Being known as a “Digi Dinosaur’’ which means being a part of the history of this amazing company. This includes moving offices to Century City and being a part of building teams, including the first Foreign/International team as well as the HR Admin Team.
  • The people I work with: Having a manager who believed in me during those moments when I doubted my capabilities, being privileged to mentor and grow individuals and teams within HR and being able to collaborate with very smart and passionate individuals, whom I continue to learn from.
  • Biggest highlight is when the Company was listed, an absolutely proud and goosebump moment!

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learnt in your 20 years here?
Growth and opportunities come from pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone.

What advice would you give to those starting their journey at DigiOutsource?

Do not place any limitations on what is possible. Have the courage to grab opportunities and seek to gain a better understanding of all the aspects of this phenomenal organization. Ensure that you collaborate with people – acknowledge their input, the value that they add and always show appreciation. It is not only what you do that others remember but, more importantly,
how you did it and the impact it had that will be remembered.
